Body Odour
It’s a myth that sweat smells, in fact sweat is odourless (it’s just salty water), bacteria which live on the skin break down the sweat and it’s this process that causes the unpleasant smell. Certain areas of the body, such as the armpits & the crotch, tend to produce more body odour, as here the glands also produce proteins & oils for the bacteria to feed on.
Smooth Shaving
For the smoothest, closest shave, first prepare the skin by washing with Rockface Face Wash – it’s important to get the skin warmed up, to help prevent razor burn.
Footcare
Men and feet. Not always the most pleasant of subjects, but actually, with a simple foot grooming regime you can buck the trend and become the man who wears his flip flops with style!
Spring Skin
Winter’s cold temperatures and dry atmosphere can make skin dry, rough and even scaly (yikes). If you’ve generally ignored skincare this winter and resemble a rhinoceros, you need to get cracking now so that your spring self will emerge smooth and baby soft from its chrysalis, ready to take on the warmer weather.
Unwanted Whiskers
When you’re giving our new Shave Butter a whirl, don’t forget your other hairy bits – it would be a shame to have a baby soft face and a big hairy nose and ears now wouldn’t it?
Eyebrows
Do you have a monobrow or a wildbrow (may have just made that word up but you probably get the gist)? The key to men and eyebrows is ‘trimming’, not shaving, so please put the razor down.
Oily Skin
People who suffer from oily skin often think they shouldn’t exfoliate or moisturise because it’ll irritate their skin and make it more oily. Wrong. Although oily skin is caused by the overproduction of sebum (the skin’s natural oils, produced to keep skin supple and healthy), regular exfoliation and moisturising will help balance sebum levels.
Cold Showers
Brrr! Not likely, most of us would exclaim. However, if you take a look at some of the health benefits of a cold shower you might change your mind. A freezing cold dunk or a dose of ‘hydrotherapy’ as it is more formally known in the morning will not only help improve your circulation.
Facial Topiary
According to studies, most women shown photographs of men from clean shaven to full beards preferred the look of stubble – manly but not unkempt – the rugged look.
