Body Odour

It’s a myth that sweat smells, in fact sweat is odourless (it’s just salty water), bacteria which live on the skin break down the sweat and it’s this process that causes the unpleasant smell. Certain areas of the body, such as the armpits & the crotch, tend to produce more body odour, as here the glands also produce proteins & oils for the bacteria to feed on.

If you think you have a body odour problem, there are simple steps to take:

Wash regularly and make sure you dry your body thoroughly. Use deodorant – we’ve had customers write in to say that Rockface 48 Hour Deodorant has really helped with body odour issues. Wear fresh clothes daily & wash your clothes regularly – and at the highest recommended temperature. Don’t overstuff your washing machine! Dry clothes quickly – bacteria can flourish in damp clothing. Natural fibres are better than synthetic.

Be prepared with an effective 48 hour deodorant, just to be on the safe side.
